Fixed-Price Services and Fees: The vast majority of our work is on a contingency fee basis, meaning the fee for our services is a set percentage of the total recovery. This places our interests firmly in line with our clients. Of course, if there is no recovery there is no fee. We advance the costs of litigation, and, as is required by the Washington Supreme Court, the costs are deducted from the client's share of the recovery at the conclusion of the case.
Hourly Rates: Anyone can hire our firm by the hour if they wish. My hourly rate is $250. My paralegal's hourly rate is $75. We require a $2,000 - 5,000 deposit to commence hourly fee representation. There is usually no deposit to commence contingency fee representation.
Free Initial Consultation? Yes, we offer a free initial consultation. There is no set time, but we can usually tell someone over the telephone when an in person consultation would be appropriate.
Typical Retainer: There is no retainer in contingency fee cases. We sometimes require a cost deposit if substantial investigation is necessary prior to acceptance of the contingency fee representation. The fee deposit for hourly fee cases is $2,000 - 5,000. | |
